The Bikram Yoga Posture Series

Bikram's yoga class consists of twenty six postures (asanas) Each asana is meant to be performed in the given order, to the best of one's ability.

Standing Series

  1. Standing Deep Breathing

  2. Half-Moon with Hands to Feet

  3. Awkward

  4. Eagle

  5. Standing Head to Knee

  6. Standing Bow Pulling

  7. Balancing Stick

  8. Standing Separate Leg Stretching

  9. Triangle

  10. Standing Separate Leg Head to Knee

  11. Tree (performed twice, or once followed by Toe Stand)

  12. Toe Stand (performed once, preceded by Tree)

Floor Series

  1. Dead Body (performed after postures 14-25)

  2. Wind Removing

  3. Sit-up (performed after each Dead Body posture)

  4. Cobra

  5. Locust

  6. Full Locust

  7. Bow

  8. Fixed Firm

  9. Half Tortoise

  10. Camel

  11. Rabbit

  12. Head to Knee with Stretching

  13. Spine Twisting (performed once on each side)

  14. Blowing in Firm
